People are not rational all the time; there might be a bazillion reasons why he'd behave like that. Maybe he wants to show someone he can garner 150+ comments with a LJ. Maybe he finds this humorous. (I find it sort of sad, especially the fact that this is the type of journal writing that attracts comments...?!)
