And Jenn found one for me that she "wasn't sure I'd be interested in" because it's receptionist-ing for an adult website that caters to gay men.

Now, I agree, porn isn't exactly where I want to be working, even if it *is* the reason for the internet, but let's think about this logically.

It's gay man porn.

I'm not a gay man. Indeed, I'm not a man at all. I can't think of many environments that are safer for a straight woman than in a company where, I suspect, many of the people are gay. Men. Who, after all, can be trusted to know what gay men want in porn. And the clientele are as well, so... yeah.

And I'd be all receptionist person. I don't have to deal with icky sex stuff. (All sex, when you come down to it, even if it's the type of sex you're interested in, is somewhat icky. It's bodily fluids!)

The real reason I'm not interested in this job is that it apparently requires knowledge of Macintosh computers, and I don't do Macs. Don't know anything about them, and am not comfortable lying.

I agree. If you are a quick learner, and can use a GUI, you'll be set. It's very close, I've switched between both for YEARS.

Just be honest, say you're good with computers (if you are) and whilst you don't use a mac regularly, you're sure the switch will be easy.

After all, hasn't Apple been claiming that for YEARS?

(And really if you are using one photoshop versus another, its the same thing, pallettes are the same, for example.)
