An article in Salon in which asexuality is inexplicably news. Featuring negative comments from medical professionals! I don't get that. I vaguely understand the whole "ew, gay people!" thing because that involves having sex that you wouldn't have, and because you can kinda sorta point to religious verses... maybe... but... c'mon. Again, I say, if somebody's happy, why do you care?

From what I can tell, the main concern the therapists seem to have is "omigod, these poor people are missing out!!!". And then more cynically, there's also the fact that most of the objections seem to come from sex therapists, who make their living off peoples' dissatisfaction with their sex lives. So perhaps they see the asexuality pride movement as a possible threat to their business.

Yes, I really am that cynical.

As I've said, I'd move if I could afford to. And I'd move to Germany. Although the real horrors of my family's past were in Poland, where most of the worst horrors were.

I really don't know if I'd fit in in any other country, but I liked Nova Scotia. The real estate's low, but no jobs, so a good place for an artist that's all set, I guess.
