Date: 2005-05-07 05:13 am (UTC)Frankly, I felt more personal interest for the dead man in Yossarian's tent, but maybe that's just me.
Still, the implications are startling. America was lied to, and the conservatives seem to be proud of this fact. Example: One of the key reasons that John Kerry was first called the "F" word (I'm not going to repeat it here; my stomach churns every time I hear it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you clearly were living in a cave during the last election) was because he initially thought that the war on Iraq was a good idea, but then when he discovered that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, he changed his stance and admitted that it was probably a bad idea all along! When new facts came along he re-assessed the situation, and he was ridiculed terribly and constantly for it!
I'm sorry... This just still makes me very bitter. I'll shut up now.
