Is it normal to feel like the non-dominant side of your body (the right side, in my case) isn't all there? Like the only real arm is the left arm, and that you're really just seeing out of the left eye? My right arm works fine, feels fine, same with the right eye, I see the same with both eyes, binocular vision, everything, but I often can't shake the feeling that the right side isn't there.
This is a long-term thing, not a sudden fear. Just a puzzlement.

Date: 2005-04-14 03:41 pm (UTC)My motor skills suck. I eventually tracked this down to dyspraxia. The mobility is fine, but... things don't work right. Never a loss though, things keep improving. Slowly, sure, but improving.
And yes, I'm a lefty. If I were a righty, and felt that my right side wasn't completely there (that's not even the right word, but meh) I wouldn't just shrug, no matter how long I felt that way. I'd worry. Wouldn't talk to a doctor, though - what, call people? Make an appointment? Drag Jenn or 'dul or Mommy out of work to take me there, or *gasp* go alone, maybe get lost, have to deal with people? I'd have to be sick-sick to do that willingly.
