Let's just say that I hate this country, I hate people (both in general and in particular), and I want to start a commune somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. If we get enough dirt and rocks and random junk, we can build our own island, can't we?

In fact, screw a commune. I'll go back to my childhood dream and become a hermit.

Hey, does this put me in the ranks of linkies? ;-)

But...GRRR!! Yes indeed this does make me wish that Idyll Valley (my symbolic alternate mini-world located on an imaginary island in the Atlantic) were real. They have an "elected monarchy" like a combination of America and Britain, but thankfully it's not so blasted TWISTED.

Idyll Valley is more along the lines of what we ~like~ to hear the original American colonial settlers had in mind for freedom. The island is small with a fragile but balanced ecosystem, and thankfully the few people who originally shipwrecked on there decided to stay AND make concerted efforts to preserve and sustain it. The economy there isn't quite so greed-focused, and they take notes on international turmoil with a definite incentive NOT to get involved...they even try NOT to be discovered (and in the apparent "magnetic field warp" of the northern Bermuda Triangle area they're still practically undetected).

That along with electrically-charged super-brains among many of their horses...*heehee*.

Ah yes, the workings of my mind, where ancient tribal natural harmony combines with advances in modern technology, and THAT being the way the government is focused...I wish.
