Date: 2005-04-03 04:08 pm (UTC)The expression daylight savings time (with the extra "s") is a common alternate form, but is considered incorrect English. While many people feel the word "savings" (with an "s") sounds better, saving is used here as a verbal adjective describing a single type of activity, so the form is singular.
Normally I wouldn't bother to point this out but I thought you would either be interested to know it or have a good reason why you didn't use it already. :)
