I'm bored.

Often, when I'm bored, I go over and make fun of the sillies at amazon.com (no, I'm sorry, reading The Witches will *not* cause your child to turn to evil, no matter *what* you think), but I'm too bored for even that.

So I thought I'd review some books, take away from the sillies. Anybody want to suggest books to review? Kid's books are the best bet, they tend to have a higher silly-concentration than other books. I'll only review books I myself have read, and link to the reviews here.

I don't know if you've read the His Dark Materials trilogy, but there's a high concentration of silly Christian fundies there, especially for the Amber Spyglass. Here's a wonderful quote from one of the one star reviews for The Golden Compass:

"The thing is--the books aren't even well written. They are needlessly scary. The characters are self centered and dull. Phillip Pullman does not write convincing children."
