I have spent an eternity saying this.

Terri Schiavo is not on life support. She does not use a ventilator. I don't know where that story started, but here it ends. She is not hooked up to any machines. She uses a feeding tube. That is not life support. Taking her off the feeding tube will cause her to - slowly - starve or dehydrate.

There is evidence that she reacts to things around her. There is also evidence that her condition would be drastically improved if the money from the settlement had gone towards her treatment instead of her husband's court bills.

So please, base your opinions off of accurate information.

And now, I will let other people talk about being in situations where they were believed dead, and post those links (links I've posted before) about other people who nearly died because "after all, she's not going to recover, might as well pull the plug now" - and at the time, they were conscious.

i completely understand what you are talking about. i never once said the body doesn;t need insulin, in fact i have said i don;t object to medications, treatments, any of that. please, go read, it will show. i said i object to keeping soeone on life support if they have no chance of recovery. see the difference? i've been getting bashed here because nobody had bothered to actually read what i said, but instead jumped into the hype. and i don't support turning off life support if the person has ANY chance of recovery, at all.

Thankfully you are still alive, and i am happy, VERY happy that you are. And thank you for not saying what you did interspresed with the words idiot, bitch, etc, as so many other people did in this.

But do you see my point of view? i don;t ask anyone to agree with it, but just to understand it, and to accept it, instead of telling me i am an idiot, and shouldn;t hold beliefs, when they very obviously read incorrectly. *pout-whine-giggle*

lizziey, I love you dearly. Most of the time. However, at this point, I'm beginning to think we're all going to end up on lj-drama, and I really don't want that. And *hugs* on the spelling. I know I flipped out on you, but do you have any idea how hard bad spelling is for me to read? Irritating as all expletive profanity.
