I wouldn't at all, except that I am fairly confident I will get permission.
Anybody in the Tulsa area? Please read.

Date: 2005-03-17 06:40 pm (UTC)There's a part of me that just cannot believe people would do that. And yet, so obviously, they do, every day.
It's horrific.
I hope this is resolved soon.

thank you, conuly. for those who don't know, i just want people to realize that a child is never too old to get snatched, but once they hit 16, they're no longer considered a snatchable child in the eyes of the law.... they're just runaways or "missing".

Date: 2005-03-18 03:20 pm (UTC)i just hope that she's okay and someone sees her, recognizes her, and tells her to go home (after calling the police). that is my greatest hope. my fears... well... those are in my dreams, and i'm trying to keep them there.
in the state of oklahoma, the age of consent is 16. when a child comes up missing that is 16 or over, it's automatically filed as a runaway report for that reason. in the eyes of the law, they have the choice to get in the vehicle or fight. extenuating circumstances during the investigation can change the type of report, but that comes later. at this time, she's "missing/possible abduction/possibly in danger.
