Edit: Once again, the Museum of Menstruation comes through for us, this time listing terms for menstruation.

I plan to use at least one a month on this journal until I get bored. These terms may or may not coincide with my actual period.

I'm on Depo, so I don't exactly get one. Occasional spotting, but that's really rare (maybe 2x a year?). Before I was on it though, I usually stuck with unscented tampons (my mom's quite paranoid about things being unnatural, so she was really against scented stuff).

no, I agree. She's just extra paranoid about stuff. "Don't cook with Tupperware, the chemicals give you cancer!" "Don't drink pop from cans, it can give you Alzheimers!" "Don't use dryer sheets/fabric softener/dyed toilet paper!" "Don't sleep with a bra on!" and on and on. Some of it is pretty logical (like using unscented things inside your body), but some sounds like unnecessary worrying. :P

Yes, and I'm not sure. Something to do with the aluminum or something...she says it's better to drink from plastic bottles or 2 L bottles poured into cups.

Oh and she's huge on not buying any dishes from anywhere other than the US. Supposedly, anything with a "Made in China" (or any other country) doesn't have the same standards as US-made stuff, so it can still contain lead, and if you make hot cocoa in something containing lead, you can get lead poisoning. *eyeroll* I'm surprised my bf can put up with all my slightly nagging fears about certain things handed down from mommy dearest. :P

Ohh, you know, that reminds me of something my boyfriend's mom said today. I guess they were talking on TV about how people buy prescription drugs from Canada because they're cheaper and she said something like "I hope they ban that! You never know what's in those drugs!" I guess Canada has some evil plans or something. She also won't buy things from France because, you know, they're bad people.

Sounds like they might get along. :P
