We don't close requests until the issue has been resolved in one way or another. Users can close their own requests at any time whether or not they've been helped.

No, they get left up while awaiting an answer of some sort. Of course, requests of a certain age often need work by developers or some sort of placating response. If you're curious, you can ask more questions or read/skim the Support Guide (http://www.livejournal.com/doc/guide/support.bml) and some of the support communities. :)

Awed and afraid. Could this be the end of LiveJournal Support?

Oh, wait, no, somebody wants "HLP PLZ".

As long as there are users, there will always be the thin green line of Support. *insert dramatic music here*

Oh, it's nothing I can't do here, I just hate to clutter your journal with irrelevant garbage.

Do you have any knowledge of the neighborhood around Jasper Street and Forest Hill Road? It's right next to CUNY College of Staten Island. I'm told it's a quiet and safe area, but that's from the landlord that wants to rent the place out...

Thanks!
