I'm bored.
Feb. 12th, 2005 09:34 pmEntertain me.
Acceptable forms of entertainment: Various fanfics (good), various fanfics (bad), stories of any sort (good or bad), news articles, friendly arguments.
Non-acceptable forms of entertainment: Um... I suppose flamewars. Or anything that ends up with me having spyware on my computer.

Date: 2005-02-12 06:41 pm (UTC)As for an argument... how about this one:
Conditional love is better than unconditional love between two equals (i.e. romantic partners, not a parent-child relationship) because unconditional love says: I love you no matter what. No matter what you do or how you change. And this basically means I love you no matter who you become, not because you're a good person I value, but because I have love for you.
Whereas conditional love says: I have gotten to know you and I love you. I love you for who you are, because I value you. You may someday change into something I do not love, because I do not love all people and the future you may not be the same person effectively as the present you, but the you I know, I love.

Date: 2005-02-12 09:58 pm (UTC)The forum is part of Orson Scott Card's site (have you heard of him? He's a big sci-fic author) and it's split into two; one section is stuff that has to do with OSC, the other section is the random section that I've been describing.
Anyway, enough with the intro, let me provide a link:
