There's one on a suit about gays in the military. That's how we avoid the draft, people, by having lots of hott gay sexx! Don't fuck it up for us!

Well, yeah, I can't get drafted anyway, but that's not the point :)

And one on anti-gay-penguin-ministries.

Wait, this makes sense. They want the penguins to stop being gay because they want the penguins to make babies. See, penguins are an endangered species. There are 6 billion humans in the world, and far less penguins. So it makes sense to see if you can convert your gay penguins, because you want cute li'l baby penguins.

Back to the military.... Why was it that gays can't serve again? Yeah, all those straight people serving are really working so well...

Actually, I'm just being snide. These soldiers apparently just have a healthy attitude towards sex. And, really, I find it hard to dredge up the outrage for anything less than wanton torture. How sad.

The article said that three out of five of their penguin pairs are homosexual... so that's ten penguins, eight of whom are male. I don't know whether animals have "orientations" in the way we think of it, but in a population dominated by one sex, many species will form homosexual bonds just because there's nothing available... so this could actually work. I hope the anti-gay folks won't hold this up as an example of how homosexuality is a choice, though.

I doubt this will work. I heard about this on the radio. Before the importing of new penguins, I believe there were an equal number of male and female penguins, but the homosexual pairs still formed. So I really don't understand their thinking that more females will fix the problem. Crazy Germans.

Meanwhile...why isn't anyone trying artificial insemination? I mean, surely it would have a better chance than trying to turn mated gay male pairs straight. Also, with these males paired off, I have to wonder...what are the other females doing? Lesbian penguins?
