Thanks for posting that. It surprised me to have an anti-ethanol stance on such a politically liberal show like The West Wing.

I read the review of the book--I'm going to bookmark it, but I can't decide whether to put it in my "Politics" folder or my "Giggles" folder. Thoughts?

But I kind of like Mars... can we exile them to Uranus? It'd be kind of appropriate, as if I recall correctly, Uranus is tipped over and orthogonal to the rest of the planets.

I can't conceive of any way to justify the idea that the civil rights movement wasn't a good idea. Did it cause social problems, yes of course. It caused upheaval, unrest, and many bad things. But that was a necessary price to work toward fixing a hugely evil system... I don't want to think too much about the sort of person that thinks equality isn't what America should be about.
