It wasn't working this morning. I assumed it was something with the USB cord, because I've had that problem before and because the "cable" light on the modem was lit up, so I bought a new USB cord. Didn't work. Oh, the cord itself seemed to work - unplugging it from either the computer or the modem gave me the "bloop" noise to indicate that I'd just removed some hardware, but I wasn't getting my internet access. Finally, I call the cable company. And find out that it was just that the modem had become disabled and I had to re-enable it through my laptop. Simple.

And now I have an extra (working) USB cord. I doubt I'll be able to return it, since it's working and opened and all. Does anybody need a new USB cord? It only cost me $20, but that's $20 that could've gone elsewhere.

In other news, Mommy's still sick with whatever it was that hit 'dul and Ana. She's got no fever, but she's headachy and phlegmy and weak. I suspect the weakness is from the fact that she's barely eaten in the past three days. I'm coming down with whatever-it-is as well. Joy.

Dude $20 is a lot for a USB cable. I know it's probably the MSRP, but the manufacturers are all smoking crack. We sell 'em here for $10, which I think is still a lot, and I think you can even buy them at dollar stores. Oh, and the ones we sell here come in packaging that doesn't get destroyed when you open it, so easier to return. So, uh... buy USB cable from us next time you need one. Not that you will, seeing as you now have an extra one. :)
