See, the Bishop is a total supporter of gay rights. He's got a whole speech on how marriage is about "wuv, twue wuv". Humperdink, however (who is evil, let's not forget!) doesn't care about wuv, twue or otherwise. To him, marriage is about "man and wife, say man and wife". There is no wuv for Humperdink. And no hott sexx, of either the gay or straight variety. But that's a different issue.
This post has been brought to you by The Princess Bride, officially the world's most quotable movie, and also by the fact that I really hate having to have this icon. Le sigh.

Date: 2005-01-03 08:12 pm (UTC)Your "queer critical critique" of the Princess Bride has made my night! (and I *love* that icon, and also agree -- it's a shame it's a *necessary* one to have.)

Date: 2005-01-03 11:32 pm (UTC)Yeah! You've got the classic uber-butch guy in Humperdink, and the more refined guy in Count Rugen. And you just know they're both into leather. . .

Date: 2005-01-03 11:30 pm (UTC)Seriously, I like you (platonicly), even if we are, apparently, devoted to arguing in my journal. I just hope we never meet - we might argue ourselves to death. But in a friendly fashion, I'm sure.
I feel better for saying that now. I hate it when I have friends whom I argue with, even if I like the friends themselves and don't mind the arguments.

Date: 2005-01-10 06:53 pm (UTC)Paul: *under his breath* Skip to the end.
Me: Have you the wing?
Mark: Man and wife!
A few days earlier, Paul had another actor on his back, and someone said, "Don, don't do anything dirty up there."
Don: Is that even possible?
Paul: It's possible, pig.
It made me think of you. :) I love my cast.
