Gah! I can kinda accept that their religion might have a problem with homosexuality and that they might not be happy with the proposed changes, but how the hell does that justify punishing the poor for it?
Ack, just the thought of the Salivation Army makes my head hurt so much I screwed up the HTML...
Let me try this again...
I'm trying not to take offense, as you don't even know me, but I am happy with Target. I have some hearing "issues," you could say. Tinnitus, probably CAPD, and extreme sensitivity to those fucking bells. If the Salvation Army wants to sell candy bars that's one thing, but those bells are cheep, loud things with no padding on the clappers. If you've ever seen a musical handbell, you'll note that the clappers are padded.
I have to hold my hands over my ears walking in and out of stores... even grocery stores, due to the sonic attack by the Salvation Army.
I hate them with a passion, and I am very happy that Target has made their stores a safe place for me and for people who share my sensitive hearing.
Serious question, if I was part of a non-profit org dedecated to the cause you feel most strongly about, and I raised money by rubbing sandpaper on the skin of whomever passed by... and some store banned me, would you actually be angry at them?
