Here's one about the election thingy. I'm just sitting here jawdropped. However, I'd like to see this story in, um, mainstream media? Biased sources *can* be correct - but I want backup, I'm too lazy to research it myself.

We've got two articles about the Christian Left: here and here. And another one about a pastor changing his mind on the whole gay thing. Aw.

And, finally, a very scary article. Apparently, they're taking God and the Church out of the film adaption of The Golden Compass series. Think about that very carefully. Yeah. And why are they doing this? "You have to recognise that it is a challenge in the climate of Bush's America.

What the effing heck? Isn't the Trilogy an adaptation of Paradise Lost? Does the Church object to that? A challenge. . . . Jesus. And it hasn't occurred to New Line that 49% of the population might be willing to come?

Well, it's "blasphemous". Which I can see. God's kinda evil. But that's not the point, is it?

The fact that God is evil is not the point? In which, Paradise Lost or the Trilogy? I haven't actually read Paradise Lost. . . but God is not really evil. In fact, he has a happy ending -- he dissolves and becomes truly one with the universe. Grr. . . . No, God's evilness or goodness isn't the point -- I think it's humanity's evilness or goodness that is.

And it doesn't matter what the point is, do you think the sillies understand that? At amazon.com, they call those books "atheist". Because, of course, atheists believe that God's evil, or bad, or terribly needing to be overthrown.
