Mr and Mrs Ainscow's daughter, aged 33, has Asperger's syndrome, which caused her to spend her parents' cash wildly on expensive shoes, clothes and meals.
No, it really didn't. Her parents giving her the money, and not telling her to knock it off, and letting her be a little brat... that is what caused her to spend the money. The original article said she had AS, and was bipolar, and a host of other things, but now it's all gone but the Asperger's? And now, even though the woman (the daughter) is saying that's not true, she has "no mental health problems", the article just says "she has Asperger's", not "her mother says she has Asperger's", which is just a bit unfair, don't you think?

Lemme guess, the story happened in the UK, and I didn't read close enough.
