*holds a tissue to her nose and twitches*
Nov. 18th, 2004 01:40 pmI used to get nosebleeds, um, a lot. Something like once a month during the day, and more at night when I was asleep (I'd find out about it when I went to pick blow my nose and find dried blood). Years of this. Even when they stopped during the day, I was still getting them at night for a while.
Haven't really thought about this in ages, it's been so long since I've had one - I think I had a nighttime one a year and a half ago (and it'd been a long time since the previous nosebleed) and I can't even remember the last one I had in the day.
Had a nosebleed today. Just out of nowhere as I'm on the boat.
So, from the time we were about to pass the Statue of Liberty until the time Latin was very nearly over, my nose was bleeding. If I thought it'd stopped, I'd take my hand away and the blood would gush out again.
It was *still* trickling halfway through my sociolinguistics, and I'm not to sure it's completely dried up even now.
On another note, we finally finished with Eloise and Abelard in Latin. First we did his side of it (Hah! You think you have problems? Lemme tell you mine! You know how I got around, well, there was one girl who was better than the rest - nah, I didn't quite love her, but we fucked around a bit. And she got pregnant. Well, I did the right thing by her, sorta, and shunted her off into a convent, but can you believe her granddad was still mad? Yeah, and now I'm Mr. Eunich) and today we read her side (OMG! I love you so much! And I'm even sacrificing MY life for YOUR wonderful, fabulous, terrific excellence, really, and you know it's better that I don't marry you, but I love you, that's why I didn't marry you. Because you're, like, soooooo coooooool). Aaron had the idea that Eloise's undying (and rather pathological) love for Abelard was a good thing. "So, he did well for himself, didn't he?"
Yeah, if you think being remembered for having been castrated is "doing well for himself".
*dramatic eyeroll*
