I want to do this...

Semester at sea...

It's kinda like *normal* study abroad things... except it goes to many different areas. And the rooming with one person thing could kinda help ease me into my eventual plan of the Americorps thing. I mean... going to stay with other people I don't know... not the brightest idea I've ever had. But I have to do it, I think. Still... a trial run is good.

So, any advice on what I should do to be more attractive to such programs?

a) talk to your PolySci Prof about fixing your mistakes in that class
b) get recommendations from your Anth Ling prof, your Core 4 prof & Prof Dunkle
c) talk to whoever handles "study abroad" programs
d) talk to the counselors in the 1) Linguistics Dept 2) Modern Languages Dept and 3) History Dept (especially about grad school, majors, and Americorps)
e) talk to whatever admin person handles leaves of absence (Americorps)
f) fill out the application for Semester at Sea and mail it in
g) fill out the financial aid forms for Semester at Sea and send in
h) fill out the application for AMericorps and send in
