It is now officially SEVEN days until the election. If you do not vote in SEVEN days, and do not have a good excuse (such as death or non-citizenship) I will know the reason why.

If you think you might die before the election, please take the precaution of mailing in an absentee ballot THREE WEEKS AGO. If it's too late to do this, you will simply have to not die.

...you = love.

I did, however, help my mom vote. And I'm giving blooood on friday. So If I DO die, well then, at least I got to play with the twirly-clicky thing on the voting plate. Twirly-clickythingie is neat. However, did not get donuts or orange juice. I feel...gipped.

I can't vote. I am FREAKING 17! Damn it all.

But make sure to check first because many places allow you to vote in person at the county clerk's office less than 30 days (maybe slightly fewer) before the election without the hassle of an absentee ballot. If "business trip" counts then "death" certainly does.

Seven Days...

Nick and I and about 5 of our close friends are all going with our boyfriends/girlfriends/farmyard animals and voting, and then going out to eat :). I swear, if Nader was on the ballot, I would so vote for him. *makes NADER 08 badge*.

I think that next election we should have Martha Stuart run for president. she has shown ruthlessness and cunning, and she can make fruit baskets for all the dinner parties she shall host. Maybe she can even create world peace with a pine cone seasonal Horn O' Plenty:)

I voted three weeks ago :) My roommate voted yesterday, and was very confused about some constitutional amendment - she thought it meant the federal constitution, but I didn't think that was possible because I'd've heard about it. They amend state constitutions all the time. But the thing said something about federal courts... I tried to find her a voter information guide like I found for Utah, but apparently Georgia doesn't have one, or if they do, it's impossible to find.

I'm going to be getting up early especially to vote, because between work and college, I literally do not have ten minutes to spare until about 12:00 at night.

To be honest, it's not my own voting-fervor that's pushing me to do this; it's my mother, who's a firm believer in voting in every single election there is, including the random library-budget votes and so forth. :)

Hear, hear Uly.
Don't take your right to vote for granted or else you will be zapped back to being 17 yrs old and 364 days on the day of the election.
Thank you.

There are Bush and Kerry ads up around Helsinki. It's most bizarre. And it's only just occurred to me that the slogans are in English, but the stuff at the bottom (website address, maybe some text) is in Finnish.

Strange.
