Are they required to find someone to take over if you’re on shift for, say, 24 hours? Or is it a ‘suck it up, buttercup’ situation until whenever someone else shows up?

My office is closed through today and tomorrow. Really did not expect this to happen in the last week of February, this feels like more of a Canada thing to happen.
