Remember the late night repairs to what turned out to be the sewer?

Surprise! Apparently, when they did that they managed to fuck up the gas line for the street! Which led to more late night repairs, but the gas company promised to do their level best to keep our gas on until morning, provided this can be done without killing us all.

I should take a shower now, is what I'm hearing. God, what a thing to happen on my birthday. I've been sick the past few days, too, so... yay, happy birthday to me?

Happy Belated, Birthday. And yep, they are not doing a good job with the street construction. In my area - sometime during the fall - there was brown water in everyone's pipes for an entire day, because while doing street construction they accidentally tore into a water pipe - leaking dirt and debris into it. And they keep replacing the gas pipes, they've done it three times so far.

Yep. Luckily for me - it just was in the toilet for a few hours - the worst was over. Plagued everyone else all day long, some people were complaining about it for two days. (Gotta love FB neighborhood pages - now we can see our neighbors whine without meeting them or seeing their faces or knowing where exactly they live.)
