So honestly, I feel good about recommending Paws at Peace to anybody in their service area. Which includes Staten Island (for an additional $95 fee). The place everybody else recommended does not include Staten Island, and that's kinda the story of your life if you live on Staten Island so....
I don't need more compassionate and sympathetic replies, though I definitely appreciated all of them :) And I still miss him but... I miss him like he was. We were just so blindsided by how rapid that decline turned out to be, less a gentle slope than a steep cliff that he just... leapt right off.

Date: 2024-07-05 10:34 am (UTC)We've had five dogs euthanized over the past 25 years, mostly with house calls (the vet is about a quarter of a mile from our home). We got a sympathy card with LOTS of signatures for one of them, the one who had been going there every week in his last few months to get his Fentanyl patch replaced (since they didn't want us handling that stuff).
