Got a handout in English. I can't just say it, I can't even just think it. I shout it out:

"Oh, god, not Comic sans!"

*pause*

Professor: What?
Me: *thinking: oops... * Um... the font?
Professor: Well, I like that font.
Me: *headdesk*

It also seems to be the Official Font of the Brooklyn College Library.

I need to get one of those stickers for my laptop. That'd be nice.

I think "Comic Sans" is the official font of educators everywhere.

When I was teaching (I only did that for one year) several teachers emailed me copies of assignments and handouts that they'd created - most of them were in Comic Sans. I hate Comic Sans. I systematically changed EVERY document to Arial.

Just as friendly and non-threatening, and infinitely less irritating.

Get the T-shirt and wear it to school.
Muahahaha.

It was on a site someone posted somewhere on your journal. Ban Comic Sans, maybe?

I want that shirt. ;)

If it makes you feel better, I loathe Comic Sans with a burning passion as well.

You also like that book about the steam-shovel which is transformed from a mighty digging machine of construction with nearly infinite freedom of motion to a pathic, immobile furnace, forever trapped in the basement.

To me, Comic Sans sounds like "baby talk." Fonts have accents when I read them, Comic Sans just happens to be Baby Talk.

Oh, dear, I loathe that font... it is such a bother to read, I just want to skip all text I see in it...

I like Comic Sans too. However, I do have to agree that there are places where it just doesn't fit.

Hmph. *sticks tongue out* Did you ever read "Farewell to Shady Glade"? Now that was some scary shit.

I just don't see what's so bad about Comic Sans. It's not a very good font for formal situations, granted, but at least it's not butt-ugly like Impact.

*snickers*

See, when it's Comic Sans in hot pink surrounded by pictures of liek omg hott starz! Then I can't stand it either. But Verdana doesn't redeem these things much.

It's something that is overused for formal situations, because it's so "happy."
