Jenn was surprised that I was surprised, didn't I remember we'd planted bushes there before the pandemic? And yes, I remember, but I didn't think any of them had survived the total neglect! Certainly this one is about as spindly and scrawny as the day we planted it. I shoved it back in the dirt, and let's hope it survives or even thrives this time around.

I'll have to be more careful.
