conulybecause one of ours just broke. It's probably not *actually* irreparable, but honestly, the amount of effort vs. value isn't adding up. Nevertheless, we do still need a bookcase there. As it is, our books are stacked sideways! Which, come to think of it, may be a factor in the decreased longevity of the bookcases, but it's hardly my fault they apparently are sold with too few shelves and a lack of durability to be useful for the one thing I want a bookcase for, which is storing books. I'm not putting objets d'art on these things, I don't need three feet between shelves or even two feet between shelves.
