for "pumpkins", "christmas trees", and "eggs" - or do you think they just reuse the same blobby mold and slap different wrappers on the results?

We are a big Seasonal Reese Cups household, and they do look distinctly different. I prefer the seasonal ones because my partner likes to own chocolate and store it in the fridge and rarely actually *eat* it. (But if there isn't any in the house she frets; if we have it she's fine. It drives me NUTS why would you own chocolate and not eat it.)

So this way I can go into the fridge and say "this is from Easter last year, which was eleven months ago. We are getting rid of it." (By "get rid of it" I mean "I am eating it now, it is no longer yours.")

Holiday molds? What holiday molds? Did they change something after I left the country? (asked one who prefers not to eat factory-made store bought candy, and dislikes the taste of chocolate, so no surprise I never noticed...)

my favourite thing is that the proportions are always perfect, no matter the size of the cup* or the attempted shape.

*i have not tried the "thins" on principle

I am 95% sure Russell Stover reuses the same molds with different foil wrappers! Santa, snowman, scarecrow, bunny, as long as it's colorful outside and .78oz or whatever, we'll buy em.

ETA: I am specifically talking about those little individual novelty items, you know the ones

I think it may be one mold for the pb filling, multiple molds for the chocolate shell but they get removed from the second mold before they're fully set.

They're obviously not capable of travelling north of the 49th Parallel because I've never seen them.

I kind of get where your partner is coming from. If I have chocolate in the house, I'll eat a bit, some of the time. But if I don't, and then suddenly get some, I have zero restraint -- I have, over the course of a day, eaten a whole ~150g 'family' block.

But never eating it, that I don't get.

my reese's peanut butter trees actually look like trees this year. the pumpkins did look a bit more like pumpkins than usual. maybe they've improved the molds?
and the amount of PB in the trees seemed to be more than in previous years. even more than the pumpkins this year.
