I love how they bother to tell us that the writing was Farsi. Does it matter? This is NOT a good reason to stop a flight! If a death threat had been written in French, nobody would care, but write something innocuous in "that weird squiggle writing" and you stop an entire damn flight. Hope the people responsible lose their jobs over this. I'd feel a lot safer flying if they did.

Oddly, everything I said in response was true. Except maybe the bit about Steven. He *said* he (and his whatever-you-call it, group of people he was training with) was sent straight down to help with rescue efforts, but I have no way of knowing if this is true or not. *shrugs*
