Mommy died today.

She took her sweet time! Stubborn as a mule, that's what. They called us at 7:30 and said to come over but she might not make it that long, and she was still around when we showed up. They stopped the medication and said it won't be long now, and she was still around several hours later. It wasn't until 3-ish that she finally stopped trying to cling on with her fingernails.

We had time to put on the 1812 Overture for her, sent her out with cannons. Usually Mommy narrates it, but this time of course she didn't. I had to do it for her.
