Went to the hospital today, again

They had a rather urgent code of obstetrics - Jenn looked it up, it indicates "Neonatal Resuscitation" in that hospital system - but we never heard the snatch of Brahms' Lullabye. Poor little kid :(

What does the (apparent) absence of Brahms' Lullaby imply here? Considering the last 2 lines, it being played might mean the baby made it through, but I'm not at all confident of that interpretation, since I never heard of the custom at all until now./

They play a couple of bars whenever a baby is born. We hadn't heard the snippet earlier in the day, and given that the alert came from obstetrics it does seem likely that... well....

But maybe they just forgot about it!
