I think all the maintainers are on my friends list. If not, I'm sure one of the ones that are will poke me.

It's true, we need some sort of standard of rules. I don't want to clog up the comm itself with that, I hate email, and this is about the only place to find me right now, so I thought I'd post it here. I just don't want to have the classic "whine to another mod" thing that happens sometimes when people don't like what one mod does. Or so I'm told. It's never happened mihi.

Incidentally, could we all just go ahead and put some contact information (like our usernames) on the info there? It's irritated at least one person.

(Yep, it was me that deleted the asshat's posts -- I also just removed his ability to post and his membership this time.)

Oh thanks. After my near flamewar with him, I was loathe to take that action. I thought it might seem a bit heavyhanded, since I clearly and personally don't like him. But with two people, it's bound to seem fair. And it is. Guy needs to be the first one on that trip to Mars.

Though an AS mod comm is a bit much, I can always use it for my "playing around with community settings" I want to do. Good way to figure out customization AND communities, in one swell foop. *goes to make one*

Boy, that synapticknob is quite the little asshat...after I stopped him from posting at asperger and removed his posting ability, he came over and started flaming *my* LJ. (So, of course, I deleted the comment and banned him from there as well. *g*)

I added staircase_wit and codeman38 as maintainers today, FYI. Those two are among the most active, seem to be virtual troll magnets (especially Kaiden!) and have sound enough judgement.

I think we need to get the community settings up to speed:

-How do we do membership? Auto-add, e-mail app.?
-Should we keep that "screen so-and-so's comments until I say so" option on?

Or, uhm, also we could tackle community guidelines and what will get you banned (as I sort of did here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/queengodzilla/501298.html).)

And I can't really think of anything else.

Yeah... we need some sort of guidelines. Nothing especially strict or anything, just a sort of list of things that go over the line (at the mods' judgment, of course).

Also, I think it would be good to have some sort of thing where on the first offense, the person gets a warning and the post/comment deleted, on the second offense they get a stronger warning and comment screening, and on the third offense they get banned. Or something like that.
