(Note: In this video, it's mentioned that tides in the Great Lakes are there but eensy, some commenters from the Great Lakes region state that, no, they're quite noticeable and affect sailing. The existence of tide charts would seem to show the commenters correct and the presenter wrong.)

As someone who has been near the Great Lakes repeatedly (and other lakes as well), there is certainly water movement that looks like tidal forces working on them. Whether the video presenter would dismiss them as "slosh" or something else, I don't know, but lay visual observations suggests that there is something there that should be treated like a tide, even if it isn't technically one.
