I've been having to be very careful leaving for work if there's a storm on as our blue tick hound wants to run away from the storm, not that there's anywhere to run to.

They don't understand that they can't outrun the noise :(

They banned fireworks here this year because of the drought plus the heat wave.

Still a bunch of idiots setting off stuff, but nowhere near as bad as most years.

They're always banned here. They put up a huge metal sign at the ferry every year about it, not even posters, some sign they store during the other 10 months of the year when they don't have it up.
