I've been reading the posts at
brooklyncollege and finally actually friended somebody there. I don't really have friends in the real world, and somebody who goes to the same school I do is... close. And he seems interesting.
People are strange. They're everlastingly posting to tell this guy that they think, based on his icon, that he's hot. Nothing wrong with that, except it makes certain other people (me) feel mildly insecure. Nobody tells me that I'm hot because of my icon! *mock sniffles and points to the icon*
Anyway, I'm not sure they'd come up to him in real life and say this. So why do they do it online? Some of them are actually meeting him in real life, because people from the comm are meeting up on campus semi-regularly (we hope), so it's like real life when you post on the journal... but they act differently. Or I think they do, anyway. I may not be the best judge.
