I just love that you do this. I would start doing it too, but then I'd be a copy-cat. :-) But it's such a great solution to the eternal Aspie problem.

I do make a similar, pre-emptive disclaimer to new co-workers right off the bat now, and have made that a policy for about 2 years. It just makes things easier.

Have you ever encountered people who didn't *believe* that you might offend inadvertently?

Oh, yes. Or who say "you just have to try harder". These are the same people who won't tell me what I did wrong. *&$^@!

I HATE it when people won't tell you what has offended them. It's as if they really don't realize that you don't know. Grrr.

(By the way, in this comment "you" means "me." I like to type "you" better than "me" or "I" when talking about myself sometimes.)
