conulyThe drain on the kitchen sink finally said "fuck this" and upgraded from "partially clogged" to "entirely clogged inside the wall", so we called the plumber and he snaked it and it now drains beautifully. It is a lovely sound.
He also poked a hole in it, because those pipes are probably 100 years old. So now we have to rip out the wall to get it fixed and I didn't even tell my sister the bad news yet, I forgot, but this probably will mean we have to reinstall the sink. (We're not giving up on the sink, which is also original to the house, but the plumber was not sanguine about the odds of the vanity on which it rests surviving this process.)
So, you know, that happened. Thank god we technically have a second sink downstairs. The stove upstairs works, and the sink downstairs works, and half our skillets are cast iron and kill me now.
