I'm really liking my second winter ever without a serious cold.

Usually I can barely breathe all winter. We say "I'm not Walloon, I'm feeling a little... Flemish", a joke which isn't even funny when you're Belgian, and my only consolation is that my mother's pulmonologist, who is Dutch, swears he makes that same joke. (I mean, you can't not make it.)

Also, weirdly, way less depressed than most winters. I always thought it was the light, and to be fair, the lightbox helps... but not that much, so maybe it's mostly because I can't breathe? IDK.

Not having a cold this winter was balanced out for me by not being able to have choir, either.

Not having a head cold at Christmas for the first Christmas in ... forever was very nice. It almost balanced out the suckiness of a Christmas without seeing my beloved sister-in-law, who I miss like crazy and haven't seen in over a year, even though she lives just two hours away.
