It's great when a person loves to cook.

When I was growing up, my mom never cooked anything worthwhile and liked to fry steaks in an iron skillet! Blasphemy! She salted tossed salads & used to burn us out on new recipes she'd get from people, and none of them ever tasted good.

You'd think, growing up in that house that I'd want to go the opposite direction & learn to whip up gourmet stuff, but I've no interest in food at all. I don't want to think about food, and don't really give a thought to planning meals---it's too much work, and then there's the mess to clean.

I'm fine with cracking open a can of tuna for tuna salad sandwiches for dinner.

My husband insists on MEALS and MEALTIME so there is no way sandwiches will ever suffice for dinner. Since I'm forced to do something in which I have NO interest, I hate it even more.

The planet needs people like you to keep things interesting and keep recipes flowing because people like me will venture out once in awhile & make something new, but we won't like doing it! LOL
