I think the very best part of the past few days has been watching Rupert Murdoch's news empire turn against Trump. Fox News shutting down baseless claims of widespread fraud was a beautiful, beautiful thing to witness.

Oh, I don't believe this shows any more scruples than they had before - I'd compare this behavior to the proverbial rat leaving a sinking ship, except that rats are known to be friendly, social animals that feel empathy for the plight of their fellow rat and will free other rats from cages to share their food, and I don't want to insult such noble animals.

But look at it from this angle: Trump is going to lose some of his supporters, the ones that haven't long since moved to straight-up conspiracy providers like Alex Jones, and in the meantime, Fox News might just lose some money. That's what I call a win-win. And it is beautiful.

And you know what else? I find I don't care about their feelings either.

It's certainly the surest sign that Biden has won, and how much the last four years was trying to be sycophants and curry favor because of the power that could be exercised, not necessarily because they like him and want him to succeed.

They, too, should be held to account for their role in creating the situation the rest of us have to deal with.

fter four+ years of the followers of Trumpology calling those were not one of them, "snowflakes, pussies, libtards, etc.", saying "I oil my AR-15 with libtard tears, fuck their feelings, etc.", I have zero problems with their suffering.

I will not give them time to mourn and come to term with what happened, screw them. They've been unleashed as racist assholes and bigots for over four years, and most of them are going to continue to be so ongoing. Screw them.

There is a small frisson of joy knowing that Rush will not be with us for much longer. With a little luck maybe Alex will pop a gasket, preferably on-air.

You have to admit that seeing the Post's front page was great too. It doesn't get much attention but after 8 years of anti Obama covers and 4 of pro Trump covers, it was AMAZING to see the Joe Time one.

Also they got rid of their editor.

As far as Fox, I think the news side of it was on a short leash from Murdoch and that leash is off now. I'm loving the internal battles between the news division and the entertainment side of it.

I wonder if Fox News got some tipoffs or something?

A friend and I were wondering who would assume the tRump debts after he's dumped by DeutscheBank, and if they might be the sort who say, "It would be a SHAME if...."

It has been glorious to see those outlets abandon him so quickly and completely. I don't spare any thoughts for their feelings or those of their viewers--those people have a lot of work to do to earn my respect or even tolerance at this point. I hope that the lack of media support will make it harder for him to execute the coup he is so obviously preparing. I guess we'll see...

They deserve every bit of grief that comes their way. I don't care about their feelings either.

Trump is going to lose some of his supporters,

Absolutely. A lot of people love him because he's just like them and/or just like they want to be. But now he's a loser!

Are they calling Biden "President Elect" yet (see: my post on their previously stated refusal to)? That's all I want to know.

They might be doing a great job of facing facts now but they ran out of that gate really, really badly to start off with.

I am curious to see what all comes to light once the actual rat has been ousted from the White House.
