OMG a few years ago the college football ESPN dudes started using the made up word "trickeration" when the word trickery was right there, being already a real word. (Like to describe a trick play.)

And I feel like they get royalties every time they use it, because they use it constantly.

Seriatim at least already existed - though you'll note that spellcheck doesn't agree.

Seriatim is A Thing at my office, but I think that's OK because it is a Very Specific Thing. (It refers to sending a proposal around to the members of the commission one at a time for approval/disapproval instead of getting them together in a conference room and making them vote on it all at once.)

The ones I hate are terminus ad quo and terminus ad quem, because I can never remember which is which.

It's always nice to know that the government always cares more about hiding what it has done and making sure nobody gets to see it than caring about whether or not what they're doing is legal or warranted.
