Me looking at a 50lb box of potatoes:
May. 4th, 2020 11:31 am"Somehow I thought there'd be more potatoes than this!"
Me, sorting through that same box to divide out about half the potatoes for Michele:
"Huh. There are a lot more potatoes in this than I realized. This is exactly as many as I expected after all."

You could probably do the same with a piece of plastic wrap, but the fold over type sandwich bags are a lot easier to handle, and cheap.
I just keep using the same baggie until the onion (or tomato) is used up, then I toss it. Next onion gets a new baggie.
