I think what I felt about them had a lot to do with what I felt about their final conundrum and solution, both of which I felt were a bit simplistic.
But let's focus on the good things of the past... oh, let's say three or four episodes.
1. I have a soft spot for Vicky, so I'm glad she seems to finally be where she can stretch herself.
1a. All the demons seem happier, in fact, which is nice. I like people to be happy. Meaningfully happy.
2. Jeff and his frogs! And now he's not so lonely! And now he also has a pet frog! OMG FROGGIES.
3. Vicky's Tahani impression was great, and now I like to imagine that they're friends and meet up all the time to chitchat or have sex or whatever.
4. You'll note that Tahani seems to have found a way to give her afterlife meaning without having to die for realzies.
5. I'm glad Jameela and Tahani have made up (couldn't care less about their parents, no matter how repentant) but somewhat put out that Jameela's improved attitude and sisterly bonding comes paired with a more conventional personal style and a move to landscapes over modern art. There's nothing wrong with those things, per se, but it almost implies that the only way to be the way she was is to be pretentious for the sake of pretension, that she could not have possibly like the aesthetics for their own merits.
6. Jason is adorable and wonderful.
7. Yay, Mindy also gets to move on.
8. The fact that Eleanor winds down her afterlife by helping others is... yes.
9. I wonder if more non-humans are going to want to try out being human now that the precedent has been set. Hell, I wonder if the judge eventually will. Eventually, the afterlife might be staffed primarily by humans!
10. Okay, I laughed at the Good Place committee's escape. Boy, did I laugh.
