I always counsel against getting too involved with the grandkids. They are often used as bargaining chips when there is a disagreement.

That's one perspective, I suppose.

One kinda messed-up perspective, I'd say. Better counsel would be not to get too involved with the grown-up kids' personal grown-up business.
