I just realized something!

One of my friends complained about how if she wanted to change all incidents of a certain user picture with another user picture, she had to give the new user picture the same keywords, even if they were unrelated.

This is not true.

User pictures can have more than one keyword, so long as keywords are separated by commas. So you can have user pictures numbered 1-whatever with an additional keyword (separated by a comma from the number!) describing the picture itself.

I'm not sure how this'd work for replacement uses, though. So she's probably right after all. But I'm just happy, I learned something new!

Three userpics with keywords:

1,firstuserpic
2,seconduserpic
3,thirduserpic

You replace the first user picture with a new graphic and give it the keywords "1,newuserpic"

Every entry and comment where you selected "1" as the keyword will be replaced. Every entry and comment where you selected "firstuserpic" as the keyword will be replaced with your default userpic until you upload a userpic and give it the name "firstuserpic."

This is why I try to name my userpics by topic/mood/message, rather than content. I've already replaced my Holidays userpic a couple of times, depending on what I want to use for that particular season.

You couldn't change past entries, but you could do it from now on. Of course, you'd have to memorise which pic was which number...
