Isn't it grand that we've done away with racism?

The NYPD has recently appointed its first black Chief of Detectives. I'm confident that now all racism in NYC policing will end.

I suppose the best thing we can say about this is that we keep hearing about it, rather than it getting buried completely. It would be even better, of course, if they didn't do the thing at all.
