This ranges from annoying to outright uncomfortable, but it's fixed with a combination of periodic flushing of the eyes with water, eyedrops, and allergy pills.
Today, randomly, I sneezed a whole lot. Yesterday it was watery eyes, the day before that it was watery eyes, today - sneezing. Why would my body do this to me!?

All that mucus, watery eyes, coughing, sneezing and snarfling, are caused by a histamine reaction (https://www.webmd.com/allergies/what-are-histamines#1), the function of which is to flush allergens and other irritants out of your respiratory system. If you're having more allergy symptoms than usual, it's probably because you've been exposed to a heavier allergen load than usual: happy Springtime, season of plant sex.
