Oh, once she's on my lap I toss a blanket over her. Since she is looking now for snuggles rather than hiding under the bathtub or wherever, it seems to be adequate. Or if it's late enough I go on my bed and tuck us both in.

Yes, and I think that even though she shakes a lot it's a little less than it used to be and dies down a little faster once the thunder stops. That might be wishful thinking, though.

Now, listen. I never sent you a darn thing I've intended to send you, and I'm going to send you some chocolate if it kills me (I think my mother misplaced your hat, but we're sure to find it by next winter), but if you sent me your address I've lost it. (I meant to save your birthday card envelope, but the nieces didn't know that and it didn't get saved. This is really a good thing, because it means we're sorting the mail a lot faster and disposing of it quicker.) PM me, would you?
